Terrier mix. The adorable dog was adopted by Joe from the Broward County Humane Society Animal Shelter when he came here to open his new South Beach Makeup Center. The Center Prides itself on no animal testing of its products.

is displaying his beautiful collection of paintings, curves & Burlesque. They can be seen at Carolines Restaurant, 214 Espanola Way through September 18th.

Gretchen Looney, owner & designer of California-based, Chix Ruhl (pronounced Chicks Rule), is planning a tour South beach to promote her new tennis & sportswear for women! Gretchen is a world class player herself & hits a mean tennis ball. She's looking forward to playing tennis here while displaying her new sportswear.

at 1670 James Avenue, just steps off Lincoln Road, has added a new restaurant, Cafe de Crest to their newly renovated facilities. Lots of charm here. Great place for lunch, dinner or just cocktails.

Writer, Margaret Clark, of Huntington Beach, California was in South Beach visiting her son, Stephen, Area Sales Manager for Estee Lauder. They were dinner guests of G. Jack Donahue, at The living Room at the Strand.

and partying for a Cause best describes the incomparable Norma Jean Abraham. Her business, Details, Details, helped reshape South Beach. She's now devoting her energies for charitable causes, many of which were held in her penthouse apartment in South Beach. She now plans on dividing her time between the beach and a new home in Coral Gables.

Miguel Martinez
of The Floridian, may still be wearing the same cap but now has a new position to go with it. The management didn't realize how popular he was until his picture appeared in our last issue. Because so many people commented so favorably he got a raise and promotion to Concierge. Keep up the good work - ask for another raise!
