Instructors and Guest Instructors: Joe Blasco Is the Creator of the Program and the Head of Instruction The following is our list of California State Certified instructors. David Langford Has worked in the Make-up department at KHJ-TV, KCAL-9 TV and NBC and its affiliates, Mr. Langford has brought his talents to such hit television shows as The Tonight Show, Sunset Beach, JAG, and Dateline. His movie credits include newsroom sequences for Groundhog Day and Volcano. He has also worked extensively with Disneyland Television Productions, providing Make-up services for numerous commercials and home videos. An accomplished print artist, he has done Make-up for Life, People, TV Guide and others. Ashlee Petersen Ms. Ashlee Petersen graduated from the Hollywood Joe Blasco Makeup Center in 1987. She has since gone on to a very successful career in Film & Television. This to include winning Two Prime Time Emmy’s and honored with 5 nominations. Ashlee is also credited with films, which include Double Jeopardy, Kiss the Girls, and The Salton Sea just to name a few. She has also worked with many celebrity clients like Ashley Judd, David Schwimmer, Jamie Pressley, Ewan McGregor, and Hugh Jackman. Ms. Petersen has come home to Joe Blasco Makeup Center as a Head Instructor after working in the industry for 18 years. She is teaching the timeless Joe Blasco technique compiled with her personal experience to inspire the next generation of artists.
