| Construction
Process, "Zombie" |
 |
 |
 |
| Before
Application. |
First
step is to apply a bald cap. Some heavy duty thread tied to
a bent rubber coated paper clip is used to raise the upper lip.
The thread is glued down to the head using celaphane tape and
latex. The clip is easily removable. |
Next,
spirit gum is applied to the upper face and tacked with cotton;
This will help to ancor the morticians wax, which is applied
over top. The wax is then sculpted to resemble bone structure
and rotting flesh. |
 |
 |
Cotton
is used to sculpt out features in highly flexible areas,
like the jaw and mouth. The cotton is pre-shaped by hand
and applied over spirit gum. The cotton is generously
sprayed with hair spray and a palette knifeis used to
sculpt the desired features.
|
Once
the construction is complete, a PAX base is applied
over the whole make-upallows for a longer lasting make-up
and allows hair to be applied later. |
|
 |
 |
 |
| Rubber mask
grease is hand painted aroung the eyes, lips, ears and nostrils. |
Crepe wool
is applied to the back of the head with latex. For this type
of application latex is very durable and is unaffected when
hair spray is applied to the wool. |
Tooth effects,
paints, and creative colors are used to make-up the teeth. |
 |
 |
 |
| In this make-up the RMG was thined with
99% alcohol and applied with an airbrush. |
Rubber mask
grease is used for highlighting, shading, and texture detailing. |
Hair spray and gel are applied and the
wool is brushed out and styled. |
|
| With added wardrobe, your zombie is
complete. |
