were not used in the final piece as they did not match the
many reference photos of the original design. |

The missing teeth from the mouth were made using the same
technique that Mr. Blasco had used originally so that the
finished product would be as close as possible to the original.
With all the teeth replaced or repaired, the painting process
begins. Pax pant was used for it's durability. |

14-16, The painting process continues here. Several
colors of Pax paint were airbrushed onto the appliance and
the head form. Once the Pax was dry, two layers of thinned
Matte Medium were airbrushed onto the piece. Once the Matte
Medium was dry, a flexible sealer with UV protection was airbrushed
over the entire surface to protect it from sun damage. |
