Information for Foreign Students
This school is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Permission to come to America as a student also allows you to be accompanied by your spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age. After completing the course of study, a foreign student also is eligible to apply for authorization to accept employment in the United States for practical training (one month of work may be granted for each four months of study pursued). Thereafter, an additional thirty (30) days may be granted for departure from the country.

The process for obtaining an M-1 student visa (M-2 for spouse and minor children) begins with a prospective student making a written application to our school. This written application, including school transcripts or other records of courses taken, proof of financial responsibility, and other supporting documents, is received, reviewed and evaluated at our school’s location in the United States. The $100 nonrefundable registration fee must be included with the application, prior to issuance of the I-20.

Once we determine that a prospective student’s qualifications meet all standards for admission and we accept the applicant for enrollment in a full course of study, we issue the student a certificate of eligibility (I-20 M-N). That certificate then is taken by the student to the American consulate in the student’s home country for use in supporting the M-1 visa application.

If a foreign student desires to open a bank account for the purpose of paying their tuition, they must do so three (3) weeks prior to the first day of class. This must be done to guarantee that the funds from their new American bank account will have cleared and are available one (1) business day prior to the first day of class.

If the student chooses to wire the deposit ($100.00) and/or the tuition payment directly into the school account, he or she may do so. Information regarding this procedure can be obtained through the Administrative Office of the Make-up Center.

(The foregoing information has been prepared by the school’s legal counsel and is derived from relevant statutes 8 U.S.C. § 1101 (a)(15) (M) (i-ii), and regulations 8 § E.F.R. § 214,2-3).
