HD Commercial Beauty Makeup Artistry Materials Procedures Training
(M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – 3 weeks)

The H.D Commercial Beauty Make-up Artistry Materials Procedures Training session is designed to help the trainee master the skills of make-up materials application procedures necessary to be employed in film and television, still photography studio, or other related fields where beauty make-up artistry is practiced. The session is offered by means of lectures and hands-on labs. The session rooms and labs are designed to duplicate the actual environment of major film and television studio make-up departments.
This session takes the trainee through all phases of Beauty and Corrective Beauty make-up materials application procedures for motion picture, television, theatrical and society. This session includes: Classic Beauty, Classic Glamour, and Natural High Fashion, Fantasy Beauty and Male Corrective make-up theory and application. No prerequisites required. This session equips trainees to work in high fashion and for special events such as weddings and red carpet events in an entry level capacity. To work in film and television, students are encouraged to take (at a minimum) the full H.D Professional Journeyman Make-up Artistry Materials Procedures Training session (journeyman pro-case kit).

H.D Professional Commercial Beauty Make-up Artistry Materials Procedures Training Session description:
1. Sanitation and hygiene
This session introduces the trainee to sanitation of station and equipment.
2. Anatomy of face and body
This session has the trainees discuss anatomy of face and body.
3. Base Selection and Application
This session introduces the trainee to form an understanding of undertones of skin to correctly match base.
4. Shading and highlighting application
This session introduces the trainee to moist or oil-base cheek color and color glow applications, powder application, dry cheek application, and iridescent powder punch up.
5.Eye make-up application
This session introduces the trainee to selection and placement of eye color and upper lid line shading, upper lid liner and shading accentuation. Lower lid liner “drop shadow”, eyebrow shaping and sketching techniques first mascara application, strip and individual false eyelash application and second mascara application.
6. Lip color
This session introduces the trainee to lip line, lip color, lip shading, gloss and corrective lining and adjustment.
7. Beauty and corrective make-up genres
This session introduces the trainees to documentary, clean, glamour, period, high fashion, fantasy, bridal, red carpet, avant-garde, editorial, couture, political, transgender, theatrical live stage, mortuary, and medical beauty and corrective genres through lectures and demos
